for the past year i've come back to this piece quite a few times and it's impressive how it grew in me. Although it doesn't appear to have the same formal eloquency as schwarzes licht, the care for each textural moment and some sense of conduction between each assemblage seems to make the piece sound curiously discursive.

Es increíble la cantidad de compositores vivos que habiendo estudiado durante muchos años materias como contrapunto, composición u orquestación acaban componiendo en un estilo como el pop-rock que utiliza solo tres acordes y cualquier niño de diez años es capaz de identificar dichos acordes una vez escuchada una canción de este género. ¿Es así como pretenden estos compositores que surjan nuevos valores en la composición, tan escasa de ellos en los últimos decenios (aunque quizá más en calidad que en cantidad), o que la gente se interese en la música culta contemporánea? Glorificar géneros musicales en los que no se requiere el más mínimo esfuerzo ni estudio para acceder a ellos creo que no es el camino adecuado. Y todo ello por un puñado de billetes (es lamentable ver hasta dónde ha llegado el poder del dinero en nuestra sociedad actual, luego es normal que pasen las cosas que pasan en el mundo…).
